Hopeful signals emanating from the UK as it looks like the House of Lords will not allow the 'Pub Banter Ban' to pass:

If passed, it would cause hospitality businesses, event organizers and organizations in the cultural sector to implement censorship policies on their customers. The pub banter ban would thereby effectively mean the end of British society.

It is very hard to understand how there can be proponents of a 'Pub Banter Ban' at all and why they think a 'crackdown on banter' would be needed. If Britain needs any kind of crackdown, than that is a crackdown on jihad and sharia.

Pub or other 'banter bans' are not needed in Britain, nor anywhere else.

The UK's proposed ban on pub banter is regrettably still on the table. It would force publicans to police the speech of their customers. If passed, it will be the most unacceptable infringement on free society, creating an unlivable Stasi overhear-and-snitch society, wherein snitching happens for all the wrong reasons. This clearly shows that giving in to the woke death cult is societal self-destruction, nothing less.

Exactly. If your own agenda cannot stand up to scrutiny, you have to shut its opponents up.
